The
attorneys at Adams, Jordan & Treadwell serve clients throughout
Georgia from their offices in Macon and Milledgeville. The Firm’s practice
focuses almost exclusively on complex civil litigation. In that field,
the Firm mostly represents clients in serious personal injury and wrongful
death matters. We have a particular focus on medical malpractice litigation,
a field that requires not only advanced legal skills, but also an in
depth knowledge of medicine. In addition, the Firm maintains a strong
local government practice. Our attorneys practice in both State and Federal
courts.
Because of the Firm’s specialization in civil litigation, many general
practitioners refer clients in need of superior litigation counsel to
Adams, Jordan & Treadwell. This referral practice has grown to represent
a significant portion of the Firm’s practice and is a testament to the
successes achieved by the Firm’s attorneys.
These are difficult times for individuals who have suffered injuries
as the result of negligence and the families of those who have died as
the result of negligence. Special interest groups such as insurance
companies have expended a vast amount of time and resources in an effort
to limit the right and ability to recover compensation for injuries. The
Georgia General Assembly, in particular, has enacted laws that create
substantial obstacles to the recovery of compensation. While these laws
are supposedly aimed at “frivolous lawsuits,” they actually have the
exact opposite effect. Individuals who have suffered serious and sometimes
fatal injuries as the result of negligence are finding that the General
Assembly has all but made it impossible for them or their families to
receive compensation. While it is becoming more and more apparent to
more and more people that these laws are grossly unfair, the laws are
still on the books. An experienced attorney, such as the attorneys at
Adams, Jordan & Treadwell, can help individuals receive compensation
for their injuries or for the deaths of loved ones notwithstanding these
onerous “tort reform” laws.
Apart from their commitment to providing quality legal services, the
attorneys of the Firm feel they owe an obligation to their communities
and to that end they are active in church, civic, and academic affairs. Although
this involvement is based upon a commitment of service, the Firm believes
that the active roles played by its attorneys in non-legal matters enhance
the Firm’s effective representation of its clients.
